Bridging farmer and societal needs

The Waterloo Federation of Agriculture represents the local community and advocates for farm families in the Region of Waterloo on agricultural issues.

Their goal is to bridge the policy needs of farmers with society’s needs.

Jeff Stager, director of WFA, says the majority of Ontarians don’t know much about agriculture. But, that's not their fault — it's due to a lack of connection to the land emerging from modern development.

Stager engages with the community to discuss agriculture and the things that matter both farmers and residents of Waterloo region.
